Where are all the relatives ?

January 8, 2013

I have been wondering about this for a while….so if the readers can share their views and experiences on this please ?

A typical South Indian family in the 50s and 60s…..would have 4+ kids. This means  Ravi and Banu would have approx 8 (aunts + uncles…4 each on mom and dad’s sides)…and assuming an average of 2 kids per aunt / Uncle…..there are at the very least 16 cousins out there. Is there a family tree OR is it actively discouraged ?

Readers : Have any of you met any one of them ? What are their names ? What do they do ? Where do they live ? How come they do not figure very prominently  in the organisation ? I have never seen or heard Banu or Ravi introduce their cousins / Uncles / Aunts to anyone ? This is actually pretty strange for an Indian family let alone a south Indian one.

One thing is for sure, in my decade + with them there were no cousins that I met or heard off. They were definitely not visible.

Maybe it was just me who missed out on them ?

Assuming that these relatives are actually scarce and cannot / will not be visible easily….I have some plausible explanations for this….

1.  Maybe they all know the REAL truth of the growing up days and can easily Dispute the REEL truth that the AOL 1st family dishes out.

2.  Maybe they are aware of the real timelines (Year of graduation, how much marks ?…BTW South Indian families tend to keep track of the passing marks of all their relatives)

3.  Ratnam’s many forays into grey businesses. The many unexplained police raids on their household ?

4.  Exposes and real explanations for some of the missing years in Ravi’s staged timeline and stories (Did he really travel with MMY….or was he somewhere else…..?)

All the above is speculative…..however, if I am right….then the 1st family will have a great interest in making sure that they maintain at best a COLD relationship with the rest of the family. AOL will blame it on family jealousy to explain why the rest of the family are not in the AOL movement.

Plus if the cousins do actually come in, they may also become very aware of the all the ill gotten Assets that their illustrious and famous Brother now controls. And south Indian Brahmin families are known to gossip like crazy amongst themselves.

Hmmm…another AOL explanation would be…The rest of the family…. they still have a problem …..they could not see God/Guru in their own cousin / nephew.

Seems like this is definitely worth a ponder.

What Ravi told me was that his family had to leave Tamil Nadu (where they are from) when he was a small child of 3 or 4, because of some floods. Your point is good: if his immediately family had to leave because of the floods, why didn’t the rest of the family come along? Or did they and then split off from them because of all the shady dealings early on by Ratnam? It’s impossible to know this. I knew his mother and father personally. I never asked this question, just how they themselves came to Bangalore. The family was not well thought of, due to Ratnam’s dealings. As to question #4 yes, Ravi did travel with MMY. And yes, he did live with him in Noida. But since MMY stopped taking Ravi’s telephone calls, and basically rejected him, I doubt Ravi was ever MMY’s ‘successor as he claimed to be. Another mystery. When asked in public “what is your background”, Ravi used to answer with whatever the physical backdrop of the lecture was. For example, if the backdrop in back of his chair was a blue sky and some clouds, he answered “my background? Cloud and sky”, causing much laughter, and successfully avoiding the question. I never saw him answer it. The most I ever got privately was that he was from TN and the family fled the floods.

Somebody needs to take him on & expose the scam. Its turning out to be a far bigger scam. & I do not expect anything to happen in India. Our laws are so lenient about such scams. What can we do ? any suggestions ?

What are your comments on the Google Hangout on 26th January that attracted millions of viewers from over 80 countries.? Google has complained of heavy traffic during that time and also the meditation conducted by Guruji had the biggest ever participation in history of Google. If whatever said in this blog is true how do you explain this overwhelming response?

    • January 29, 2013 3:46 pm

      Hi Guruji’s Devotee,

Wow, I’m sorry to have to admit it but I think you’re right: this conclusively proves beyond the shadow of a doubt that EVERYTHING written across these blogs must be false. The fact that so many people watched the Google Hangout coupled with the fact that Google themselves complained about such high traffic completely negate everything that has ever been written in criticism of Art of Living and of Ravi Shankar.

I’ve already sent emails to Klim and Skywalker, as well the Argentinian media, and anyone else who has ever criticized AoL or RS. I’m sure they’re going to feel incredibly embarrassed at having to admit they were wrong about everything, because I certainly do.

Gosh, I really can’t believe we were wrong, I was convinced we were right. But it’s all thanks to you, Guruji’s Devotee, without you we would never have know we were wrong and would have continued being wrong. Pat yourself on the back and consider all your bad karmas cleansed for this lifetime.

Google complained? To whom? And what about the money which was spent on the advertisements of this event that were screaming at you from any website you visited. Any answers where that money was coming from…

Ok let me see: India’s biggest publicity-seeking fake Guru makes a recent trip to Argentina almost definitely intended to raise his profile there and gain him more publicity. Unfortunately – for him – the whole thing backfires and he ends up becoming the laughing stock of the media. He is detained at the airport for tax evasion by the authorities, and all of this is of course made public.

Question for anyone: How do you think Art of Living course attendance has been since Ravi Ravi’s visit? Do think all the Argentinians are flocking en masse to sign up to courses? Or do you think perhaps that because of his visit, no one now wants anything whatsoever to do with Ravi Ravi’s Art of Stealing and Lying and Cheating and so course attendance there is at an all time low, in fact most likely no one has signed up to courses?

Realising what a complete blunder and devastating blow this visit was to Argentina, Art of Living publicity department desperately try to come up with some way to rebuild Ravi’s public profile and lo and behold, someone comes up with Google Hangout! And just like anything else with Art of Living, it’s all about the numbers. Look, millions of people from 80 countries attended, Google complained, ooh, wow, it must be amazing! Really? Was it? And did millions really attend? “Millions” certainly isn’t the number I saw when I looked at either the Google Hangout attendance or the Youtube video hits. In fact, looks like hundreds of thousands who were invited to the hangout simply didn’t attend, way more in fact than those who did. What do you think of all that?

It looks like AOL will not run out of ideas to swindle money. The no. of schemes, imaginary situations created for sustainability to become intertwined with spirituality, leadership that will cease to exist without being an AOLer etc. etc. Here is one such that is coming up pretty soon in B’lore – http://www.ccsconference.com/ – Corporate Culture Spirituality in India. The registration cost was available a week before when I checked it (was roughly 20,000 INR), but, looks like it has been hidden now. Crooks who never seem to get tired at all in luring the gullible. The world’s top business schools have a lot to learn from the AOL business model

Ravi Ravi is going to launch two new kriyas this year as Sudarshan Kriya is not working its magic.

And this time, it’s not just the Upanishads – Guruji will be personally teaching a new Kriya, the Shakti Kriya for the very first time! That’s like the cherry on top of the frosting on top of the icing on top of the cake. Imagine how it must have been for the very first priveleged few who learnt the Sudarshan Kriya directly from Guruji back in 1981 – this is just like that, only much grander.

The above is from an email going around encouraging people to attend. Meeting the man himself in North Carolinia. You can be part of this historic event for just USD 1340. But to take the new improved kriya you need to have taken 2 art of silence courses. I guess ones system would not be able to handle it otherwise.

        But here is my question:

Did anyone hear if the great master went into silence to cognize this new breathing patteren imporved version. Did it take him less ten the previous 10 days. It must have been who knows maybe on his travells to argentina the matster saw the light.

        Jai Guru Dev

It obviously took more than ten days for Guruji to come up with the new kriya. He had to browse through a lot of stuff to mix and match the breathing rhythms and mantra chanting. AOL devotees are getting bored and saturated. Sudarshan Kriya is not giving them new kicks. They need sensation and more allurement or else they will flock to other gurus who can kick up new kriyas every other day. Shakti Kriya is needed to keep the flock intact and infuse more life into art of living.
PS: Shakti kriya the name is too pedastrian in yoga circles. Yoga bhajan has evena reverse shakti kriya to his name.

    @Anonymous,

There is a certain US based,Chamunda Swamiji who it seems has been teaching something called “Shakti Kriya” for the past some years now. His claims regarding the shakti kriya seem similar to claims made by other hindu religious leaders regarding their respective kriyas.

    http://shaktikriya.com/

Might HHSSRS have a copyright infringement suit slapped on him if he names his new kriya as shakti kriya ?? Its a dog eat dog world afterall.

      From the recent flyers

JOIN SRI SRI FOR SHAKTI (ADVANCED) KRIYA. HE HAS SAID THAT THE NEW KRIYA WILL MAKE PEOPLE’S LIFE MUCH MORE JOYFUL, MUCH MORE DYNAMIC, AND PEOPLE WILL FEEL MORE COMMITTED, COMPASSIONATE, AND CREATIVE.
Sri Sri brings us to a new level of spirituality with Shakti (advance) Kriya

Note: $900 of the course fee is a tax deductable contribution.

Amazing the Pupil has learned the tricks of the trade from his master. We had TM and then they created TM advance techniques ect ect.

Now we have basic Kriya and the Advance Shakti Kriya. Could Ravi not be a little bit more original.

They will soon have to rewrite all the flyers on the Sudarshan Kriya, cause it does not hold up as the one stop technique any more.

And not only does he get you to be more committed to HIM but he can also give you TAX advice, he is truly an amazing Master.

Heard of another miracle? Wow! mobiles get charged just by keeping it in front of ravi shankar’s photo! So next time you see his devotees charging their mobiles differently don’t be surprised. Great idea. AOLites can think of this business too. Sell mobiles packed with $$RS photo minus the cumbersome wires, plugs and chargers….

Shakti kriya to replace sudarshan kriya! Why sudarshan kriya has lost its miraculous powers?? It is supposed to have been revealed to RS as part of his enlightenment. Isn’t trademarked Sudarshan kriya – the ultimate technique to attain moksha, to rid oneself of all negative karma, to remove all the toxicities, cure all kinds of fatal diseases blah blah… And now suddenly SK has become ineffective! Sad! After all these years of practising and defending the greatness of sudarshan kriya now AOLites have to choose another road to self purify themselves. How kind of $$RS to salvage his disciples and guide them through another kriya to understand the larger picture of life? How great are his unquestioning disciples who are willing to empty their pockets to fill the coffers of their guru!!

By hating the person you are actually thinking about him all the time. This person is so important that you can not remove him from your life. He has become part of your life!! The more you hate and write about him the more you think about him. If you do not like him then just leave him and move on in your life. Pretending that you are doing great service to humanity by exposing him is just plain lie. You are in mad love with him and obsessed with him. You just can not ignore this person. And this is the fact. God Bless you!
